2016 Home Run 5K Best Yet!
The sun was shining on a record 100 runners and walkers November 12th, for the 4th Annual LCCH Home Run 5K, making it the largest run yet. Jerame Davies was the first finisher, (running in the 50-60 age group!) and completing the 3.1 mile course with a time of 19:34. The first woman, Jill Calkins, finished the course in 27:08. Several teams participated this year, including the Granville High School Field Hockey Team, Eagle Riders # 387, MSA Family Medicine, The Main Place and the Beth Scott Family. It was great to see so many repeat runners and families, with participants ranging from stroller-size to 70 years old.
Along with the sunshine, runners enjoyed a good lunch, great music and door prizes. Thanks to all who participated-we hope you will join us again in 2017. The Home Run 5K is held in November to acknowledge National Homeless Awareness Month.
